Between the two world wars, the number of employees in the cleansing clone varied. He reached up to forty cleaners and the same number of collars, but because of the increased needs, the number of cars and the circulation increased steadily. In order to establish the order, the manual for collection and removal of garbage from houses, streets, hotels, restaurants was prepared first, and later, in the middle of the thirties, the first rulebook regulating the issue of the city - communal hygiene in Skopje was adopted. This rulebook was the first document of this type in a city that belonged to the then Vardar Banovina. Directly prescribed the rules of citizens` attitude to hygiene in the city: from sweeping their own homes and yards, to collecting, transporting and transporting garbage to landfills, procuring special bins and garbage bins that particularly concerned hotels, restaurants and the establishments, to finding and marking landfills according to established criteria. With these measures, the city of Skopje is divided into districts and departments, and sanctions are prescribed for those citizens who did not comply with the strict rules in the form of fines and even prison sentences. It is interesting that the names of the polluters of the city were regularly publicly published in the municipal body, the newspaper "Skopski glasnik".
In the period between the two World Wars, two more measures are worth marking. And for improving hygiene in the city, the business on several occasions was given under concession, and the collected garbage was sold for auctioning and was used for fertilization of municipal property.
During the Second World War and the Bulgarian occupation of Skopje, the company`s employees continued their work, but some of them also joined in providing help to the National Liberation War. In the "Department for communal activities" a party cell was formed through which the party party organization received data on the movement of the enemy and the occupier. It should be noted that the employees continued their revolutionary activity as early as 1929, when they organized a strike against the leader of the cleaning column, because they offended their feelings on a national and religious basis, and pressed for their assimilation and denationalization. About this time, the newspaper "Socialist Dawn" also wrote about the defense of the demands of the cleaners.
